Two Tornados swept through Virginia yesterday afternoon. Destroying hundreds of homes and injuring over 200 people. The governor immediatly declared a state of emergency in the areas affected by the tornados. The supreme court made an important ruling yesterday, upholding Indiana’s voter Identification laws. The court ruled that Indiana had the right to require Identification from registered voters at the polls. Indiana’s laws are the strictest laws in the United States so it is likely that all other states identification laws will be upheld. In local news… Benjamin Geldmaker a 19-year-old Barrington teen became the 7th teen charged with the under age drinking incident discovered on April 19 at brickyard pond. Geldmaker had previously admitted buying alcohol that led to the November crash that killed teen John Converse.

Lacrosse player Amanda Magee was named the common welath coast conference defense player of the week. The common wealth cost conference also named Daniel Roberts male athlete of the week. First round game of the commonwealth coast conference softball tournament was cancelled due to rain yesterday. Roger williams university was up against in state rival Salve Regina University. The match has been rescheduled for this afternoon at 4:00 p.m. In weather… There will be light rain in the morning clearing up to cloudy skies. High of 65 degrees.
